- Breast Reduction (for Women)
Details for Case #8112
This 46-year-old mother experienced severe discomfort because of her breast size. Feeling tired of being in pain, she decided to contact Marina Plastic Surgery Associates to meet with a Los Angeles breast reduction expert about her symptoms. With the promise of finding relief, she was eager to meet with her surgeon after scheduling her consultation.
Because she had a large amount of breast tissue and a great deal of sagging, her surgeon recommended that she have a breast lift in addition to a breast reduction. During the reduction, her surgeon would remove excess tissue, fat and skin to make the breasts smaller. However, before closing the incision, he would create an internal bra out of the patient’s tissue which would support the breast after surgery—a procedure called the Laser Bra breast lift. He would treat the tissue used for the bra with a CO2 laser before being sutured it to the chest wall. After surgery, the new bra would keep the breast tissue supported and will help prevent the breast tissue from sinking below the nipple, or “bottoming out.”
Following her Los Angeles cosmetic surgery, this patient felt immediate improvement with her pain and discomfort. Her breasts had been successfully reduced to a manageable size and with the added support of the Laser Bra, her breasts will retain their new, perky position. Overall, she was thrilled with the new shape and proportions of her breasts and happy that she had undergone a breast reduction.
