This 55-year-old woman began looking for a Los Angeles or Santa Monica plastic surgeon because she felt that the sagging skin above her eyes made her look much older than she actually was. After doing some research, she decided to contact Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a consultation to discuss undergoing Los Angeles eyelid surgery.

During her consultation, her surgeon asked her about her concerns and desires for rejuvenation. She explained that she felt her eyes looked heavy and older because of the excess skin that hung below her eyebrows. And, instead of being hidden under her eyelids, she wanted her eyes to stand out and be more noticeable. To address her concerns, her surgeon recommended that he perform upper eyelid surgery. By removing the excess skin and tightening the muscles below, her surgeon would open up her eyes and make them look younger and more alert.

This patient’s surgery went very well and her results were dramatic, as can be seen in the “after” photos. The excess skin that was hanging above her eyes has been removed, making her eyes look lighter and more open. She was very happy with the results and glad that she decided to pursue eyelid surgery.
