Details for Case #12903

Age-related concerns such as loose skin around the jowls and wrinkles near the folds of the mouth are common reasons why people choose plastic surgery in Los Angeles. This 58-year-old woman was experiencing similar signs of aging and called Marina Plastic Surgery Associates.

She explained that the skin around her cheeks and jawline had gone lax, and wished for a tighter, firmer appearance. Her skin elasticity, tone, and texture was assessed and she was told that she would benefit from Thermage®. Thermage is a non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency waves to lift the skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles by increasing the amount of collagen in the skin. The treatment is often chosen as an alternative to a face lift because it takes no longer than an hour and requires no downtime.

Her follow-up photos picture her 6 months after her first Thermage treatment. She shows a tighter, more defined jawline with less sagging around the neck and cheeks. The lines around her mouth have also faded and her face looks more rejuvenated overall. She is very grateful to Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for her new youthful appearance.
